Sex therapist Maureen Galindo surprised political observers when she led the field in the Democratic primary for Texas’s 35th district in March, securing 29 percent of the vote and advancing to a runoff election despite ending the month with less than $2,200 in campaign cash. In the months leading up to that election—in a newly redrawn district that could be a toss-up—Galindo posted unhinged rants to her social media accounts targeting Jews. “This is the way that all of the Jews who own Hollywood, they use books and movies to create realities,” she said in an October 2025 video posted to Facebook. “The entire Bible start to finish is about displacement from land, and all colonizers since babylon worship the synagogue of satan, in my perspective,” Galindo wrote in the video’s caption. “I DO NOT SUPPORT AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS GOING TO ISRAEL AND WILL NEVERRRR ACCEPT THEIR BLOOD MONEY,” she said months later, in December. “Jewish church leadership has a dominant economic and political (& media) power that is very real, harmful, and should be named and criticized,” she added in January. Now, Galindo, the favorite for the Democratic nomination, has a real chance of being elected to represent Texas’s 35th district. The formerly blue district was recently redrawn to lean Republican, but in an unpredictable election year with the GOP on the defensive, it should be considered a swing district, experts say. “It’s definitely a toss-up, especially in the San Antonio suburbs as they’ve grown outward,” veteran GOP operative Ryan Girdusky told the Free Beacon. “Republicans have an advantage, it’s a district Trump won, but it is not a safe Republican district in any sense of the word.” READ MORE: Democratic Sex Therapist Making Strong Run for Texas House Seat Slams ‘Jews Who Own Hollywood,’ the ‘Synagogue of Satan,’ and Israeli ‘Blood Money’ in Wild Social Media Rants
