Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration quietly pulled an online landing page promoting New York City’s business ties to Israel. The page dates back to former mayor Eric Adams’s administration and once lived on the New York City Economic Development Corporation website. Visitors are now greeted with a message reading “access denied.” More than 400 University of Michigan professors signed a letter supporting Faculty Senate chair Derek Peterson, who earned a rebuke from the university’s president after using his commencement speech to praise “pro-Palestinian student activists” and denounce Israel’s “war in Gaza.” The letter describes Peterson’s remarks as “thoughtful” and “ethically rich,” accuses Israel of “injustice and inhumanity,” and says “nothing in Professor Peterson’s statement warrants any apology.” Cornell University president Michael Kotlikoff is standing up to the anti-Israel radicals who surrounded his car following a campus debate on the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
