Kotlikoff just kept on reversing, “brushing” into one student before his car “accelerates and bumps into the student,” as the New York Times put it. There may be hope for the Ivies after all. The Iranian regime reportedly sent President Donald Trump a fresh proposal to end the war. Trump dismissed it, saying he “can’t imagine that it would be acceptable in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years.” A recently elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, University of Michigan African studies professor Derek Peterson, used a commencement speech at the school over the weekend to thank “pro-Palestinian student activists” who have “opened our hearts to the injustices and inhumanity of Israel’s war in Gaza.” Michigan Democratic Senate hopeful Mallory McMorrow brushed aside criticism of deleted social media posts in which she said, “I don’t like you, Michigan,” and, “I wish I never left California.” “I tweeted normal things like a normal person, and people are desperate for authenticity, so that is what we need in November,” McMorrow told CNN.
