Louise Lucas’s district office and a neighboring weed dispensary she co-owns as part of a sweeping corruption probe that was opened under the Biden administration. Lucas, who supported Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s campaign, has been accused of selling illegal cannabis products at the store. The Brandeis Center, a legal watchdog group, is calling on the Department of Justice to investigate Georgetown University for violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act after the Free Beacon reported on a contract requiring Georgetown to consult with a Qatari government group when planning events on “Islamophobia.” That’s not the only brewing controversy at Georgetown: The university’s law school, which tapped disgraced Penn president Liz Magill as its next dean, was supposed to feature as its commencement speaker the economist and former Northwestern president Morton Schapiro. But students attacked him for supporting Israel and criticizing the far left’s response to Oct. 7, so Schapiro withdrew and Georgetown replaced him with a former ACLU official who has condemned Republican investigations into campus antisemitism. A disabled woman is suing the homeless services department in Multnomah County, Oregon—home to the deep-blue city of Portland—after she was denied rent relief due to her low score on the county’s race-based prioritization rubric. The rubric awards more points for having an “interest in culturally specific services” or speaking English as a second language than it does for having a disability, the Free Beacon reported. Michigan Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow was supposed to appear on a “queer” influencer’s podcast—but “cancelled” after the influencer, self-described “queer jew w very long nails” Matt Bernstein, said he planned to ask questions about “healthcare and foreign policy.” A new report from the Anti-Defamation League found that antisemitic incidents “decreased most significantly on college and university campuses” in 2025.
