Maryland governor Wes Moore has embarked on a preemptive media campaign attacking his state’s flagship newspaper, the Baltimore Sun, for a forthcoming investigative series that will allegedly scrutinize Moore’s record. “The Baltimore Sun used to be our paper of record,” Moore complained to Biden White House press secretary-turned-MS NOW host Jen Psaki. “It’s now become the paper of the right wing.” An editor working on the series, Candy Woodall, said that Moore’s team privately “warned” her in January that it would work to tarnish the Sun’s reputation if it moved forward.
Operation Epic Fury eliminated 90 percent of Iran’s weapons factories, 80 percent of its air defense systems, 90 percent of its naval fleet, and nearly 80 percent of its nuclear infrastructure, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Dan Caine told reporters Wednesday morning. Hegseth said it amounted to “America’s retribution for every American lost to Iranian terror, especially those brave troops killed by Iranian-made roadside bombs in Iraq.”
California Democrat Eric Swalwell and his wife made more than $400,000 a year from 2021 to 2024—and still withdrew nearly $145,000 from their retirement accounts, used more than $400,000 in campaign cash to cover childcare, and put off paying federal taxes, all while failing to pay down tens of thousands of dollars in credit card bills and student loan debt, the Sacramento Bee reported. Swalwell gubernatorial campaign spokesman Micah Beasley said the lawmaker’s financial situation allowed him to relate to “millions of Californians” balancing “mortgage payments, student loans, childcare and everyday expenses.”
