Duwaji also reposted messages in 2015 indicating that Tel Aviv “shouldn’t exist in the first place” and that “American soldiers fighting in imperialist wars are not brave” and “are mercilessly slaughtering 3rd world civilians and fighting to maintain American hegemony.” In July 2015, Duwaji retweeted a number of posts bashing Snapchat's decision to add Tel Aviv to its "live story" feature. Duwaji reposted an attack against U.S. servicemen on Tumblr in July 2015. Duwaji was in her late teens and early 20s when she made the majority of the posts. She was living in the Middle East after her family moved from New Jersey to Dubai in 2006. Both her Tumblr and Twitter accounts reference her name in some form and include biographical details, like her birthday and the name of her family cat.
